COME WALK IN YOUR
CHILD'S FOOTSTEPS
Trenton
FAST sponsored its beginning of the year event. "Come Walk In
Your Child's Footsteps". Parents are encouraged to visit their
child's school and become active in the lessons. Parents became
students for the time that they are in the classrooms.
Participation in areas of reading, story telling, musical
expression, creative art, science, social studies, and physical
education were just a few of the events for the day.
Approximately 80 parents became students on Wednesday, November
18, 2009. Our student council and safety patrol volunteers were
the hosts for the registration and light breakfast.
A very special thank you to our parent liaisons, FAST members,
parent volunteers and Franklin School Staff. Parents
participated in a raffle for an all equipped starter book bag.
The winners were George VanBlarcom and Cindy Lopez. Each parent
received a recyclable water bottle which was provided by NJEA,
TEA, TPA and NJEA Pride.
