A new initiative has been instituted for the 2009-2010 school year. Mayor Douglas Palmer, Superintendent Rodney Lofton, and Samuel Frisby, Director of Trenton's Department of Recreation, have worked together to bring this opportunity to the students of Trenton.

Franklin Elementary School is very excited about participating in this after school activity and looks forward to competing in district-wide tournaments that will be held throughout the school year.
