The Keeping Learning on track Program is a multi-year professional development program that supports teachers to adopt minute-to-minute and day-by-day assessment for learning strategies that have been shown by research to powerfully increase student learning.  In accord with research on effective professional development, Keeping Learning on Track Program engages teachers in ongoing cycles of learning, practice, reflection, and improvement in assessment for learning, as they work together in school-based teacher learning communities. 

 

 

 

There are five key strategies for Learning Techniques:

bulletEngineering effective classroom discussions, questions, and learning tasks that elicit evidence of learning
bulletProviding feedback that moves learners forward
bulletActivating students as the owners of their own learning
bulletActivating students as instructional resources for one another
