Heather Watson, Board Member

Heather Watson is a Government Relations Specialist with Horizon NJ Health, the State of New Jersey’s largest Managed Medicaid/NJ FamilyCare health plan. In this role, she is responsible for ensuring that all State and Federal regulatory guidelines are adhered to as well providing oversight of any quality improvement activities. Heather has over 20 years of experience working to provide quality health care to low and moderate income families throughout the State of New Jersey.

Heather is no stranger to the unique social and economic issues that are facing urban communities. While working in both the private and public sectors, Heather has been dedicated to using a community based approach to helping families most in need gain greater access to comprehensive, quality health care .

Heather is a life-long resident of Trenton, N.J. and proud graduate of Trenton Central High School. She’s currently pursuing her Bachelors of Professional Studies from St. Peter’s University in Jersey City, N.J. and is the mother of one daughter, Antoinette.
