Positive Schools

Have you heard the buzz about our continued school initiative – PBS (Positive Behavior Support)?  It is back again this year and even stronger!Positive Behavior Support (PBS) is a program supported by the Trenton Board of Education to promote and maximize academic achievement and behavioral competence.  PBS a school-wide strategy for helping students achieve important social and learning goals.  We know that when good behavior and good teaching come together, our students will excel in their learning.  Hill School is proud to be a part of this continued initiative. As part of the PBS, we have established several clear expectations for the behavior we expect in all areas of our school.  These expectations are our 5C’s: Be Capable, Be Careful, Be Considerate, Be Cooperative, Be Courteous  We will continue to explicitly teach those expectations to the students and reward them frequently with our CD program where they will be able to redeem their CD’s at our school store.  Our school rules will specifically address unproductive behavior in all areas of the school, provide for a safer school environment and give more time for instruction.  We will apply consistent consequences and positive reinforcement for all kids.  We believe that by helping students practice good behavior, we will build a school community where all students have an environment where they can succeed and grow.We would like your input and your involvement.  Please contact us at school if you have any questions or need further information.  Thank you for your support and remember…YES, WE CAN!

Let’s All Remember the Five C’s

Our students are: Capable, Careful, Considerate, Cooperative, and Courteous
