Tribute to Rosa Parks
Mrs. Edith Savage-Jennings, a long time personal friend of Mrs. Rosa Parks and the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King family, participated in a day of living history with memorabilia and artifacts shared by Mrs. Parks and the King family. Jefferson School’s students and staff paid tribute to Rosa Parks by welcoming Mrs. Savage-Jennings, reflecting upon the various artifacts, reciting poetry, and singing. Mrs. Savage-Jennings was accompanied by her husband, Mr. Donald Jennings.
Holiday Cheer
Jefferson's ensemble provided holiday cheer to the residents of The Mill House. The students sang holiday songs and the principal, Harriet Green-Richardson, distributed gifts to the elderly. This community partnership enhances the lives of our youth and the elderly. The students and the residents enjoyed the holiday greetings. Happy Holidays to All!
