Mission Statement

Thomas Jefferson Elementary School is committed to increasing student performance in all academic areas and strengthening the home/school educational partnership.  We envision every student reading at or above grade level by third grade and engaging in higher order thinking skills that will enable them to be life long learners and productive members of society. 

We are committed to the belief that all our students can learn and achieve the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards.  Intrinsic in that belief is holding high expectations for student learning.  We believe authentic student learning takes place when instruction is student centered, teachers engage in effective instructional strategies, and the environment stimulates academic and social growth. Our theme for the year is “Failure is not an Option”.
