SALT AND PEPPER TO TASTE

MEAT BROTH

COOKED HAM HOCKS

1-2 HOT PEPPERS, CHOPPED

1 BAY LEAF

DIRECTIONS:

       COOK MEAT UNTIL FALLING OFF BONES.

     PICK OVER BEANS, WASH AND RINSE.

ADD BEANS TO MEAT BROTH.

             ADD ONION, SALT, PEPPER, HOT PEPPERS, AND BAY LEAF.

        SIMMER UNCOVERED, STIRRING OCCASIONALLY

UNTIL BEANS ARE TENDER.

ADD MORE WATER IF NECESSARY.

REMOVE BAY LEAF.

SERVE OVER COOKED RICE.
