GRAPEFRUIT HALVES

 

SUGAR (WHITE OR BROWN)

 

GARNISHES (SPRIGS OF MINT, MARASCHINO CHERRIES, OR STRAWBERRIES

 

DIRECTIONS:

 

REMOVE CORE AND LOOSEN EACH SECTION OF GRAPEFRUIT WITH A SHARP KNIFE.

 

SPRINKLE EACH HALF WITH I TEASPOON SUGAR.

 

PLACE IN A FOILED-LINED BAKING PAN.

 

BROIL UNTIL SUGAR BUBBLES AND EDGES HAVE BROWNED LIGHTLY.

 

SERVE, ON A SMALL PLATE, AS A FIRST COURSE OR DESSERT.

 

GARNISH AS DESIRED.
