
Crunchy Cheese Toast
(Enough for a party!)
I loaf (1 lb.) French bread
½ c. olive oil
1 tsp. dried thyme
¼ tsp. cayenne pepper, if desired
8 oz. shredded cheese
Directions:
Cut French bread into 54 slices.
Place in ungreased baking sheets.
In a small bowl, whisk oil, thyme and cayenne until well blended.
Brush over bread slices.
Sprinkle with cheese.
Bake at 300º F. for 12-15 minutes or until bread is golden and cheese is bubbly.
Serve warm.
Yield: 4½ dozen
