Fried Apples
4-6 tart cooking apples, sliced into sixths or eighths
(peeled or unpeeled)*
3 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. brown sugar
lemon juice (to taste)
Directions:
Melt the butter in a large skillet.
Add to skillet with remaining ingredients.
Stir over high heat for two to three minutes.
Reduce heat to low.
Cover skillet and cook or an additional 10 minutes or until apples are tender.
(*Peeled apples can turn to applesauce, so watch carefully.)
