1/2 CUP BUTTER, SOFTENED

1 EGG

1/4 CUP MOLASSES

2-2/3 CUPS ALL PURPOSE FLOUR

2 TEASPOONS GINGER

1 TEASPOON BAKING POWDER

1/2 TEASPOON EACH, CINNAMON, NUTMEG, ALLSPICE AND SALT

DIRECTIONS:

IN LARGE BOWL, CREAM BUTTER AND SUGAR.

BEAT IN EGG AND MOLASSES.

STIR IN REMAINING INGREDIENTS.

ROLL DOUGH IN WELL-FLOURED BOARD UNTIL 1/8 INCH THICK.

CUT INTO DESIRED SHAPES.

PLACE ON GREASED COOKIE SHEET.

BAKE AT 350 ° FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES.

COOL ON RACKS.

DECORATE AS DESIRED.
