IRISH SODA BREAD

 

3 CUPS FLOUR

1 CUP BUTTERMILK

1 TEASPOON BAKING SODA

1 TEASPOON BAKING POWDER

I CUP RAISINS

2 TABLESPOON SUGAR

DIRECTIONS:

SIFT THE FLOUR, BAKING SODA AND BAKING POWDER IN A MEDIUM

BOWL.

ADD IN THE SUGAR AND RAISINS.

STIR WITH A WOODEN SPOON AND MIX.

ADD THE BUTTERMILK AND FORM A BALL.

ON A FLOURED SURFACE, KNEAD THE DOUGH BY CONTINUOUSLY FOLDING THE DOUGH INTO ITSELF.

FORM INTO A ROUND SHAPE AND CUT AN X ON TOP.

BAKE AT 350 DEGREES FOR 35-40 MINUTES.
