YELLOW SQUASH

BACON SLICES

LARGE ONION, SLICED

SALT AND PEPPER TO TASTE

DIRECTIONS:

    IN A LARGE CAST IRON SKILLET, FRY BACON TO RENDER GREASE.

HALF THE SQUASH LENGTH-WISE THEN IN HALF AGAIN.

NOW CUT TO MAKE QUARTERS.

LAYER THE SQUASH AND ONION IN HOT GREASE.

SALT AND PEPPER EACH LAYER.

COOK SLOWLY UNTIL VEGETABLES ARE TENDER.
