1-1/4 CUPS + 2 TABLESPOONS FLOUR

1 TEASPOON CREAM OF TARTAR

1/2 TEASPOON BAKING SODA

1/4 TEASPOON SALT

1 STICK BUTTER

3/4 CUP SUGAR

1 EGG

 

DIRECTIONS:

 

 PREHEAT OVEN TO 400 °.

COMBINE MARGARINE, EGG AND SUGAR IN A LARGE

BOWL.

 IN A MEDIUM BOWL, SIFT THE DRY INGREDIENTS.

GRADUALLY ADD FLOUR MIXTURE TO SUGAR MIXTURE.

MIX WELL. (ADD A LITTLE MORE FLOUR--ABOUT

A TABLESPOON--IF DOUGH STICKS TO YOUR HANDS)

 IN A SMALL DISH, COMBINE 1 TABLESPOON OF SUGAR

AND 1 TEASPOON OF CINNAMON.

ROLL PIECES OF DOUGH TO BE ABOUT THE SIZE OF

WALNUTS.

ROLL BALLS IN THE SUGAR-CINNAMON MIXTURE.

PLACE ON UNGREASED COOKIE SHEET; 3 ACROSS AND

5 DOWN.

BAKE 8-10 MINUTES UNTIL LIGHTLY BROWNED.
