All students need to read at home for 30 minutes every day! Please be sure that students record what they have read in their reading logs and that the logs get signed by a parent or guardian!

When children are reading and come to something they don't know here are some things they can do to help themselves!
  1. Think about the story!
  2. Look at the pictures!
  3. Get Your mouth ready to say the begining of the word!
  4. Reread!
  5. Look for chunks in the word!
  6. Ask yourself... Does it look right? Does it sound right? Does it make sense?
