Washington's Crossing
Experience where America as a country began.  Many historians feel that George Washington and his army crossing the Delaware on Christmas night 1776 was the turning point of the American Revolution which gave us a new country.  Washington's Crossing is where it all began.  There are interpretive centers with artifacts on both sides of the river.   Both sides offer extensive hiking and a nature center.  Bowman's Tower further up the river from the visitor's center is claimed to be the spot where Washington spied British troop movements while preparing for the attack on Trenton.  You can hike or drive to the tower where 360 degree views of the area can be found (Check the internet for times when the tower is open).  There is a gristmill and historic houses within the park's boundary.
