The Chemistry Olympiad!
Once again for the third consecutive year two of TCHS, West Campus, students, Germalysa Ferrer & Marrla Ferrer have been qualified for the national round of the 2018 UNSCO exam.  They  represent the top 4% of all students who took the exam in the Princeton and Trenton areas, which is a tremendous feat! The U.S. National Chemistry Olympiad (USNCO) program is a chemistry competition for high school students. The purpose of the competition is to stimulate young people to achieve excellence in chemistry.

The American Chemical Society has sponsored the program since 1984. The U.S. National Chemistry Olympiad is a multi-tiered competition designed to stimulate and promote achievement in high school chemistry. It is sponsored by the American Chemical Society. Each year, four students are chosen to represent the USA in the International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO), which is hosted every year in July in one of the participating countries. This achievement is under the guidance of the Stem Club Advisor, Mr. Raman Nadadhur, who coaches the students after school from September to March and prepares them for this national competition. Mr. Nadadhur teaches AP Chemistry and Chemistry to TCHS students from Grade 11 and 12,  in addition to Medical Math Health Science, Rutgers Dual-Credit Course.
