Cristian Leiva of Trenton Central High School Sets a New Record at the Advanced Placement (AP) Exams!

In 2017, Cristian Leiva of Trenton Central High School became the first student in TCHS history to score a 3 or higher on the Advanced Placement (AP) Physics 1 exam. This exam can be translated into college credits at the majority of colleges and universities in the United States. in 2017, 170,447 students took the test. however, only 71,427 students scored a 3 or higher. The pass rate for AP Physics 1 was 41.9%, which is the lowest pass rate of all AP exams. Cristian scored a 3 or higher on the most challenging AP exam. To add to this compliment, he passed the AP exam as a sophomore. Sophomores make up only 13.57% of all students who participate in taking AP exams and only 59.84% of those students pass AP exams. The numbers indicate the level of accomplishment made by Cristian Leiva and the elite company he is in.
