The students prepared four different chicken entrees accompanied by vegetables and rice. The entrees were judged based on flavor, texture, plate presentation and portion size The judges were all Aramark employees who volunteered their time and talent to make the event a success. Isaiah Holmes won first place winning a $250.00 Visa gift certificate. Kayla Hollis received second places winning a $50.00 Visa gift certificate. Kalaysha Baylor placed third and Karen Gudiel forth.
The competition was celebrated with a luncheon served by the students of Trenton Daylight Twilight High School’s culinary arts department . Chef Barbara Konig was delighted and extremely proud of her students who competed and served the lunch. Chef Konig looks forward to working with Aramark to enhance her program. Aramark has already scheduled a food demonstration to take place at the school on February 12,2016.
