Allaire State Park
Allaire Village is a former iron works on the edge of the Pine Barrens. It includes many historic buildings in a park setting. Many of the buildings will have interpreters during weekends. There is a bakery there for a snack and a general store with many historic based gifts. There is also a historic working train that takes visitors for a ride (Fee). Iron ore was taken from the soil there and made into household items and weapons used in the War of 1812 and the first steamship.
