Yesterday in honor of Dr. Martin L. King's birthday, students from the Lawrenceville School visited Mott Elementary and taught many fun activities. The 5th graders went to the gym and were taught by the girl's varsity basketball team various skills. They showed us how to do layups and half shots. We felt that the activities were useful, fun, and interesting. Some kids who participated found out that they had developed an interest in basketball over the short time they were with us.
The fourth graders did math activitites with the math club. They worked with various geometric patterns to create fun shapes with paper. The third graders did science and robotics. They worked with gears and parts to make model cars. The second graders worked with the international students (Students from other countries) to learn about the world. The Lawrenceville students helped us in many ways that could improve our lives.
