The district is working on an
initiative to ensure that all of our students have health insurance
to comply with Governor Corzine’s mandate. Trenton has received a
grant from the NJ Dept. of Health and Senior Services that will
assist us in accomplishing this goal during the 09-10 school year.
At present all emergency cards have
a check off for parents to indicate if their child has health
insurance. Cards were distributed 08-09 for parents to update. This
information has been used to notify NJ FamilyCare and they have been
contacting the parents to apply. By utilizing the monies from the
grant, Trenton will be able to reach out to more parents and assist
them in the process.
