Projects for Kindergarten Students Students in Kindergarten should read at least 5 books and complete one project about one of the books with help from a parent. Character Portrait – Write the name of the story on the top of a sheet of paper. Draw a picture of your favorite character from the book. Story Map - Fold a sheet of paper two times so you have four boxes on the paper. In the first box draw the characters from the story. In the second box draw the setting (where the story takes place). In the third box draw a picture of your favorite part. In the fourth box draw how the story ended. Write the title of the book and your name on the back of the paper. Fact Book – This is for informational books. Fold a paper two times so you have four boxes on the paper. In each box draw a fact you learned. Alphabet, Number or Shape Book- Fold a paper two times so you have four boxes. In each box write the number or letter and draw something from the book about that number or letter.
