The Division of School Improvement reflects
the new Board Ends policies for student achievement, the National Title I
Regulations, and Governor McGreevy’s initiatives in early literacy,
partnerships and accountability described in Abbott Regulations. In
establishing an educational program that will “leave no child behind”, we
will ensure that every student from Pre-K to Grade 12 be provided a
“thorough and efficient” education to prepare them for college and the
workforce of the new economy. In this process every teacher will be
provided with professional development to ensure that every child learns to
the best of their ability. Parents and community will be provided
opportunities for shared leadership in each school to meet the needs of
every child. Every educational resource available to the Trenton Public
Schools will be focused on the District’s primary objective of improving
teaching and learning. New partnerships will be established that will
provide in-class “coaching” for teachers and on site instructional
leadership “mentoring” for principals. |
