The Department of
Security reports directly to the Office of The Deputy Superintendent of the
Central Services Department and is staffed by an administrator, a
coordinator, administrative II secretary, administrative security officer’s,
district security officers and dispatcher/monitors.
The director of security
determines the security needs of the district and provide consultative and
technical assistance to principals, the Superintendent and the Board in
providing a comprehensive security/school safety program for the district.
Assist Principals in developing appropriate assignments and in conducting
all staff development programs, as well as providing orientation for newly
hired officers. Review security officer’s assignments and utilization with
Principals. Manage Violence and Vandalism reporting system in conjunction
with the Deputy Superintendent’s Office and the Office of Pupil Personnel
Service. District’s representative and liaison to all public safety
agencies and organizations.
