| PURPOSE |
| The intent
for the Students using Technology to Achieve Reading
– Writing (STAR-W) grant program is to increase
student achievement in Language Arts Literacy in
grades three through five by providing teachers with
ongoing and sustained professional development and
in-class support directly related to integrating
technology into the classroom. This grant
opportunity is a three-year program with the first
year a 14-month grant period, and the second and
third years are 12 month periods. The eligible
entities to submit an application for this grant
program must be high-need local educational
agencies.
