Vice Principal, Mr. Carlos Gonzalez

The Business, Computer, Technology, and Design Community is a Professional Learning Community of      diverse learners and teachers whose focus is on teaching and learning. Our mission is to create and            sustain a professional learning community with an unrelenting focus on student achievement that is in the        heart of our teachers and students. BCTD understands that failure is not an option, and with this shared        sense of purpose BCTD is a community which is called upon higher expectations and rigor so students are prepared for a world outside of high school.

This assertion - that the fundamental purpose of the school is to help all students learn the knowledge, skills,    and dispositions most essential to their success-is the biggest of the big ideas that drive Trenton Central High School and the Business, Computer, Technology, and Design Community.

BCTD is supportive of collaborative cultures and exchanges among all staff; most importantly, among all each member of the school, parents, and our community. Without these practices in place, no meaningful   improvement  – no staff or curriculum development, no leadership, no professional and student learning,

no parent involvement, and no sustainable change is possible. With this in place all things are possible and success is achievable as  small learning communities.

BCTD MISSION STATEMENT

It is our mission to help all students learn and create a school with an unrelenting focus on learning which continuously seeks new knowledge and skills as a lifelong learner, and pursues academic integrity and business ethics that promote success in the community, workplace, and global society.  In order to promote this mission, we place an ethical framework that permits students to successfully engage in business and financial transactions, to adopt the technological skills required in the corporate world, and to sustain and achieve the rigors and requirements of a business career.
